Club Hotel Riu Tequila 
In 1998, Riu opened its second hotel in Mexico. Situated at 400 m from the impossibly long, idyllic beach of Playa del Carmen, this 5-star complex is surrounded by an incredibly beautiful natural landscape and forms part of an exceptional Golf Resort. It is just 3 kms. from the small town of Playa del Carmen with its restaurants, shops, bars and some nightlive. Travel to the island of Cozumel and the archaeological sites of the Yucatan peninsula is easy.
The Club Hotel offers
With All Inclusive service and practically everything one could possibly wish for, it is perfect for sun worshippers, people who love sport, and for those interested in cultural subjects. The main building houses a reception (credit cards accepted), several bars, a restaurant with no smoking section. At night, the dico is a “must” for meeting people. In the Mexican street you will find a hairdresser´s, a jeweller´s, a gymnasium, a medical centre and shops. The beautiful gardens surround a fresh water swimming pool of 1.500 m2, a separate children´s swimming pool and a jacuzzi. Both on the terrace and on the beach there are loungers and towels at guests’ disposal. Pool snack-bar and a snack-bar on the beach.
Rooms
664 in all. Elegant and modern rooms with shower/wc, telephone, satellite TV, ceiling fan, central air conditioning, mini-bar, liqueur dispenser, safe deposit box and balcony or terrace. The suites are similarly equipped but with bath/wc, bidet and a living room.
Sports
Included: table tennis, trial diving in the swimming pool, 3 floodlit hard surface tennis courts, jacuzzi, gymnasium and, in the Riu Yucatan, wind-surfing, pedalos, kayak, snorkel and sailing. At a fee: massages and, in the Riu Yucatan, water-skiing, diving, banana boat and jet ski.
Entertainment
Daily day time entertainment and sport for adults each day. Every night, shows, entertainment programme and the option to visit the "La Piñata" discothèque. Several times a week, live music.
Children
Mini-club, swimming pool and playground. Daily entertainment programme for children from 4 to 14 years of age.
All Inclusive
Full board. Generous breakfast buffet including wholemeal products, on the spot cooking, and/or continental breakfast. At lunchtime, hot and cold first courses, pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers, meats, fish, vegetables and desserts are available. At night, splendid buffets accompanied by dishes prepared in the restaurant. Twice a week, theme buffet and the option of an alternative dinner. Night time snack. The price includes all national and international alcoholic and soft drinks taken in any of the bars, restaurants and the hotel discothèques, the re-stocking of the mini-bar, the room safe and the sports and entertainment as described above.
