Location
On the white beach of Playa de Arena Gorda, a paradise of palm trees and turquoise
waters, the Riu Palace Macao enjoys absolutely privileged tropical surroundings. The prime
example of the luxury and comfort of our Palace standard; a select All Inclusive service
is incorporated in this hotel so as to offer you more enjoyment and even better holidays
amid a natural landscape of incomparable beauty.
The hotel offers
Elegant and cosmopolitan, this colonial style hotel with a wealth of detail
recreates the traditional Caribbean hospitality. Apart from the reception (credit cards
are accepted) and the lobby bar, it has a pleasant lounge, a dining room with no smoking
section, a conference room and a modern Casino. In its shady gardens one finds the
swimming pool a children’s swimming pool and a large sunbathing terrace which is
fully equipped. There, you will also find the speciality restaurants, whose gastronomic
delights are complemented by the Beach Snack bar. Sun umbrellas, towels and loungers, both
on the beach and at the swimming pool are free for our guests. In the nearby "Calle
Caribeña" (Caribbean Street) in the Riu complex, you will find a souvenir shop, a
boutique, a games room, medical service, a jeweller’s, a photographic shop, a
gymnasium, a pizzeria (includ.) a massage parlour, a hairdresser’s and the
"Pacha" discothèque.
Rooms
364 in all. The rooms are unique for their warm and relaxing atmosphere, perfectly
combining decoration and comfort. Elegantly equipped with two queen-size beds, bath/wc,
bidet, hair dryer, balcony or terrace, central air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone,
safe deposit box, liqueur dispenser and mini-bar. The suites, with fitted carpet and one
king-size bed, are more spacious and include a sitting room. Some have jacuzzi. The single
rooms are equipped in the same way as the doubles but have one queen-size bed.
Sport
Included: table tennis, gymnasium (Caribbean Street), jacuzzi, 2 floodlit tennis
courts, canoeing, wind-surfing and sailing. At a fee: scuba diving school (Cert.
Padi+Naui), banana tow, fishing and water skiing, at the beach. Golf course about 12 kms
away.
Entertainment
Every day night time shows; daytime entertainment and live music several times a
week. Nights can also be spent between the shows in the "Copacabana"
amphitheatre and the vibrant rhythm of the Caribbean in the "Pacha"
discothèque.
All Inclusive
Full board. Varied breakfast buffet with wholemeal products, cava on the spot cooking with
specialities, fresh fruit and/or continental breakfast/snack. At midday, we offer 3
restaurants with buffets, snacks, grill and on the spot cooking (main Restaurant) . For
dinner, firstly, a hot and cold buffet with ‘’live’’ cooking. The main
course is served at the table and may be chosen from several national and international
specialities and one dish that is cooked “live”is also offered, besides a
dessert buffet. Once a week, gala dinner and two theme nights. In one of the theme
restaurants, an alternative theme dinner is offered. Night time snack.The basic price
includes all national and international alcoholic and soft drinks that are consumed in any
of the bars and restaurants of the hotel, the re-stocking of the mini-bar, the safe
deposit box, entry to the casino and to the Pacha discothèque (except for special
nights), the entry to and the drinks taken in the anfitheatre Copacabana and the sports
and entertainment as described above.
